The "Huron Carol" is called the oldest Canadian Christmas hymn. Written in about 1642 by Jean de Brebeauf, a Jesuit missionary, the lyrics were in the language of the Huron/Wendat people. The melody is heavily adapted from the French folk song, "Une Jeune Pucelle".

This has been arranged for SATB Recorders and contains some spicy harmonic structure.
